Sealants

Dental sealants are another tool that can be used to prevent cavities in children. Sealants fill deep fissures in teeth, especially molars, where bacteria can accumulate and cause cavities. Applying sealants does not require the removal of any tooth structure so it is a safe, painless procedure. Paired with routine cleanings, fluoride treatments and solid at-home oral hygiene, cavities can be a thing of the past.
