Norma Y. – Treatment Coordinator

As one of our treatment coordinators, Norma functions as a liaison between the patients and their doctor. She is there to assist patients from their first phone call to our office, through any treatments they may need, to their regularly scheduled routine exams. Norma coordinates the treatment schedule for patients and our dental team as well as assists patients with financial arrangements and insurance claims. If a patient has an issue, Norma is there to listen with an understanding ear, and works diligently to solve the issue. She is available to answer any questions patients may have to make their visits as informative and relaxing as possible.

Norma looks after the doctors’ schedules making sure that they are running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. It is her goal that our patients never have to wait for their scheduled appointment. She understands that our patient’s time is just as valuable as the doctor’s.

Aside from working directly with our patients, Norma also manages the front desk. From billing and working through any computer issues to interviewing potential new team members, she keeps the front desk running extremely proficiently. Being with the practice for over twenty years, Norma has become an invaluable asset to our practice and our patients.

Norma loves working with and getting to know all our patients and they appreciate how thoughtful and accommodating she is.

Norma is married to Dr. Roy York and they have four children and four grandchildren.

Outside of the office Norma likes to stay very active and enjoys exercise and baking.

Barbara R. – Special Assistant

As our special assistant, Barbara is busy behind the scenes at the office. Her duties include payroll clerk, accounts payable clerk, daily production input, collection reports and purchasing office supplies. Barbara is a graduate of Baylor University and has been part of the team for 33 years.

Barbara enjoys being involved in the business aspects of dentistry. She also works with the décor of the office, helping us to achieve and maintain the warm, homey, relaxing atmosphere. When she has the opportunity, Barbara loves getting to pop out and visit with patients.

Barbara is married to Dr. Pat Riley and they reside in McAllen, TX. They have two children and one grandchild.

Karla V. – Dr. York’s Treatment Coordinator

As Dr. York’s treatment coordinator, Karla functions as a liaison between the patients and their doctor. She is there to assist patients from their first call to our office, through any treatment they may need, to their regularly scheduled routine exams. Karla coordinates the treatment schedule for patients with our dental team as well as assists patients with financial arrangements and insurance claims.  Karla enjoys interacting with patients, making them feel comfortable and letting them know that they are important in our practice.
